This majestic buck stood in the middle of the trail, seemingly torn between keeping an eye on me or joining the does gathered around a treasure trove of molasses-laced corn kernels scattered on the trail by two walkers who regularly feed the deer. After a few minutes of indecision, the hunger pangs won out, and he trotted down the trail to get his share of the good stuff.
