Flare
One of those days; I waited in all day yesterday for a delivery that didn't appear with the narrow window of 'your delivery will arrive anytime between 8am and 6pm please ensure you are there to sign for the delivery'.
After getting nowhere with the courier service I decided to venture out this morning with GGrrandad to restock and sods law when I came home there was a card through the door 'Sorry we missed you'. After the initial AARRGHH moment I was happy to be advised from their dispatch centre that the parcel had been left with a neighbour.
This afternoon I was rather alarmed when Bob didn't get off the school bus and just then the phone went "Robyn didn't know what was happening today so she didn't get the school bus".
On arriving to pick her up I suddenly realised I'd been played. For the last few weeks we've been encouraging Bob to get the school bus for a number of factors, she's old enough, parking is getting difficult and we were sick of constantly coming home with other kids. Don't get me wrong but I enjoy having other kids round but I constantly felt we were having the same two children without any return offer.
The minute Bob got in the car she immediately advised that she was allowed to go to this kids house. However, on pulling up it was obvious that the parents had just arrived home and it was the Gran that was watching them. The Bob going to theirs quickly became them coming to ours. Bob just simply shot me a smile and done a celebratory dance in their drive way.
Dam my child is an evil genius!!!!!
I was torn between two pictures tonight but eventually went with this one as it reminds me of a scene from Jaws 2 with the power cable running out into the ocean. However, I believe this power cable stand in is actually a sewage pipe. The glare and flare coming from the sun and water was magnificent if not a bit blinding.
