Today was Eastern and Central Champs day (with the benefit of back-blipping I can also add a link to the race day report), and what a day it was.
We'd been blessed with the weather and had a sell-out event, which were both a blessing and a curse. The conditions made the track incredibly fast, which resulted in several crashes. Fortunately most were quite minor, but the golf course did - once again - play host to an ambulance, this time a land unit which disrupted a competition (I have since sent an email of thanks to the club).
Unfortunately my role in these races seems to have got more and more involved with the organisation, meaning that my shooting time has got more and more limited. The next race should see some others taking the strain more on their shoulders, which will hopefully leave me more time to either race or get behind the lense.
Still, great day. Really good crowd, great prizes and a fantastic feel to the whole event. I think everyone went home happy, which ultimately is why these are held in the first place.
