Backblip 29/9/2010.

Day one of the holiday. The holiday organised and timed specifically coincidentally so that I could go and see Half Man Half Biscuit in Wolverhampton. Overnight trips to England to see them used to be quite common place but with the arrival of Stan these trips were looking like a thing of the past. As it turned out, we were planning to go drive south sometime in September and, Stan to the rescue, we weren't going to do it in one day and needed somewhere to stop.

And how glad am I that we did. If people can name any of their songs at all, The Bastard Son of Dean Friedman will probably be one of them. Nearly 25 years after it was first recorded Dean has written a reposte and tonight he came along to play it. Right after that he joined in with much enthusiasm, as blipped, in the song itself.

A brilliant gig and great start to the holiday.

I had intended to start posting these backblips in the morning, day by day a fortnight when they actually happened, but when I switched my PC on this morning it blew up again. The same thing, or at least at the start, now the error's even grimmer. So this is from the other PC while I try to fix the one with all the pics and useful software on it. I really shouldn't have said yesterday that we had 2 working PCs again. Hopefully back later tonight with any luck.
