Day 56: Travel

We saved ourselves a ridiculous amount of money by catching 4 regional trains to get from Bruges to Paris today, rather than using the TGV. It's quite incredible how much they ask you to pay for a trip on one of those!

It made it a mammoth trek of a day though - a long walk, 4 regional trains, 2 metros, a shuttle bus and the hassle of putting up a tent on stoney ground before we could finally try to get some sleep (without any insulation mats or pillows of any kind - something we quickly put right the following day).

We had our fun though - a hilarious game of Eye-Spy at some Belgian or French town was a particular highlight..
