Relax

There was a huge rain storm last night. I was out on the cottage deck (covered) sitting on the swing, sipping a scotch, reading, when I passed out :). About 1:30 I woke with the rain just pouring outside. It sounded fabulous. The rich smells in the air from the rain on the trees and rocks was intoxicating. The sound of the waves on the shore was mesmerizing. But I thought I really should go to bed.

A few times through the night I woke to hear the rain continue to fall. It was a lovely sound. The only thing missing from this picture is the one that should have been cuddling in my arms! :)

In the morning everything cleared up nicely. I sat on the dock with a coffee and my camera.

Jim and I are off to Ottawa for a couple of days. It is a good thing the rain stopped. It would not have been a great ride in the wet! And I'm glad we're in Ottawa, I have a few pictures to post here. He does not have internet access at the cottage (a good thing, I think. Even though it means i miss out on blipping).
