Poor Horse

This loyal companion stands alone in the desert looking over a memorial to Tom Mix. Tom was a famous movie cowboy in the 1920's, 1930's, and into the 1940's. He met an untimely fate when his fast, powerful car drove through a detour and over a missing bridge. He died instantly.

Fans built a memorial nearby and this lonely horse stands guard over the memorial. His steel flanks have been shot several times but he continues his lonely duties.
