Beauty In All She Is
Picked up a rather burst Bob from a sleepover this morning and any thoughts of her retiring to her bedroom where dismissed when she’d seen I’d picked up the boss and stand. Although high winds and fairly exposed in the garden she had to have a shot, thankfully nothing was damaged as a couple of the arrows just missed the target, the mental shed behind now has two additional air holes but can’t complain at that, it’s no longer my shed anyway.
This evening Grandpa Hobbit took us both out for tea and as always the food was excellent and it was nice just to sit down and chat. I’d agreed with my Dad to pick Frostie up from her work on my way home and drop her off at a child minding job she has (use the term child loosely, Frostie’s looked at this lady since she was 11 and the lady in question is now 33). Having only dropped Frostie off there once I was at her mercy for getting me there safely, I had a rough idea but wasn’t confident. Whilst approaching a turning I thought I’d have to take Frostie advised me it was the next one and to keep driving only to advise me I was right as we went speeding by. After a slight detour we managed to make it, even with Frostie not filling me with confidence when approaching from another direction.
It’s been the first day in ages where I’ve spent nearly a full 8 hours with Bob and loving it. She’s also staying the night so looking forward to maybe settling down and watching a film together (if I finish processing pictures and she comes of Facetime/ Facebook).
Snips has a quote on her living room wall that has been floating around my head for the last 24 hours
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass.
It’s about learning to Dance in the rain.
