Birthday Wishes

After a late discharge from A&E I headed back to Snips to spend the night. It’s been the first time in years where we have slept in the same house let alone the same room.

We sat and talked, I say talked what I actually mean is Snips talked and when possible I commented, into the wee small hours with what I can only describe as the worst TV in history on in the background (J Kyle) – Snips loves it!!
When Snips drifted off to sleep I did think brilliant, peace, quiet and my ears will get a rest. Wrong Snips even talks in here sleep and we are not talking incoherent speech, single word or even a sentence, it’s full coherent novels.

After listening to her breathing returning to normal I decided to head down to the living room and at least grab a few hours. Thankfully Snips woke up feeling a lot better but tired.
The afternoon seen me head down to Legs to celebrate her birthday, it was a fantastic day and full of interesting conversation. Legs mum, Ladies Club, had me in stitches at some of her stories – the grave yard story being my favourite. There was also a theme to the gifts she bought Legs which I found amusing.

Whilst waiting on Curly coming home from school Mini G and I ended up play fighting, the strength in the 10 year surprised me but he was no match for gravity, puppy dog, typewriter or chest buster. In saying all this he wouldn’t stay down long and eventually just ended up launching himself at me, nearly always getting caught in mid-air and thrown down on the nearest softest surface, sometime it had to be floor! I would also like to say I won every time but a 10 year launching himself at your back from the couch, catching you with both knees in your kidneys definitely registered.

Evening was a bit more relaxed with us heading out for a meal at a local(ish) restaurant and then returning for a drink and games afterwards.

Happy Birthday Legs
