Cape Saunders tragedy

Went to the lighthouse at Cape Saunders and came across this little memorial. Two children of the assistant keeper died very young. One at least, I see on Google, died when the cowshed she was playing in with a friend caught on fire, aged 2. The other died within a month, aged 1, not sure the reason.
