Peacock Butterfly

What a great surprise to walk on to the patio and see a peacock butterfly that did not fly off the minute I got near with my camera. It was so preoccupied with the Shasta daisies that it was quite oblivious of my presence and allowed me to take a series of shots as the sun came in and out of the clouds, and from different angles as it flitted from flower to flower. This is the first time I have seen a peacock butterfly and I think it lives up to its name! A real beauty! And lovely in enlarged view!
