Lavande et Tournesol.

Tuesday 12th August.

Another cracking warm day of sun, wind and big fluffy clouds. Walked the dogs in Hitch Wood with Jane, where we saw two deer with their young by their sides. After a trip into town I met up with Cathy for a chat. Following lunch and a couple of washes hung on the line, I went to The Lavender farm. The sunflowers were looking good but the lavender is starting to go over. The sunflowers are however very stupid: they ALL had their heads turned AWAY from the sun….. which made photographing their faces rather difficult- not helped by the blustery wind, that a number of macro chaps were moaning about!!! My photo shows the lavender being harvested in the background!
For dinner Claire and I are going to pig out on Macaroni cheese with pancetta and tomatoes. I have made a big green salad.
