National Day: The largest flag made out of M&Ms
Today was the National Day celebrations in Singapore. We began the day with a trip to the Art & Science museum to see and exhibit of Annie Leibovitz photography; it was something new for me and I particularly enjoyed the photo of the construction of the Brandenburg gate and a couple landscape shots of Jordan (although she is most well known for her work as a portrait photographer). From there we met up with Zhi Wei who led us to a SAFRA centre where we could watch the NDP (National Day Parade for those in the know) on a big screen. It was a spectacle of dancing, singing, military parading; I have never seen anything like it. That meant it was so much fun, we put temporary tattoos on our faces and clapped along, as it's "one people, one nation, one Singapore".
