Discovering the world!

I enjoyed this activity: the children were asked to locate a country from a competing team at the World Cup and then locate it on a map.

Following on from this they then created clues as to where the country is near, capital cities etc (using lots of geographical vocabulary) to encourage others to guess their country.

What else did I do today? (Sorry...thinking as I type!) Some pictograms - interesting! And some football report writing too.

It's almost the weekend and a fun filled, busy one, it will be!
