Bonxie

I'll pretend that I was going for an impressionistic feel to this, instead of it being a snapshot.
Down at Scapa pier the water was very calm. I could hear noisy terns though and when I got the binoculars on them, saw that they were mobbing a bonxie- a great skua on the water. It was consuming what I thought might be another tern and that this was the cause of the terns' ire, but a very fuzzy shot and examination on the computer suggests that the prey was something else, maybe an auk. The bird in the picture is another bonxie that flew through.
