My Favourite Tree

..............................is this Birch tree (Betula Ermanii) in our front garden. It was planted with 3 others in our front garden with the help or maybe presence of my Mum on her 80th Birthday. They were only about 5 feet then but look at them now.....Well last autumn. I deliberately planted them in a random fashion as though it were a woodland. This particular one has the thickest trunk as it stands away from the other three which form a small group.

It was a lovely gardening day today and after an appointment and some jobs which took far longer than I anticipated, as usual I got out and did a good bit of gardening. I am now pronounced gardening fit. I Found out that several of our neighbours had had the dreaded bug and one of them was bed ridden for 3 days, which is where I should have been.
