Capability Brown at Wrest Park.

Saturday 8th March.

As Husband is in Belfast for his sisters surprise 50th Birthday meal, I walked the dogs in a warm and sunny Hitchwood this morning, and even had a little sit on the bench, to listen to all the birds, which included wood peckers, an owl, buzzard and kite. As I was making my way to the car I met Jane and her husband.
After a sandwich au jambon, I headed with my Mother to Wrest Park. The entrance fee of £8.50, gives you access to the Capability Brown gardens, and the downstairs rooms of the house…..but not today as there was a wedding and these ‘optional’ rooms were not available so I asked for a discount and was turned down…..
Nonetheless, we had a lovely two hours wandering around the gardens in the sun and temperatures of 17C.
Last night Sue and I chatted for one and a half hours; still not fully caught up, so another shorter Skype is on for this evening as well.
My dinner is Cauliflower cheese with spinach.
Great news Dan is through to the final Mooting rounds for his University, and they will take place in the Supreme Court, London in April…I wonder if I can go and watch?? Bad news I have to give him money to buy a suit!!!
