High tide?

well not exactly, and nothing to compare with the floods of SW England obviously, but Loch Kinord is so swelled with all the rain that it covers the footpath.

The Crannog (a man-made island built about 2500 years ago in the Iron Age) can just be seen in the middle distance to the right. In those days it would have been home to about 20 people + their animals. Today it was almost submerged and a single camper would do well to find enough space to pitch a tent!

Nice to get out in the sunshine for a change.
