Happy Birthday to Thailand's King!

Today is the Thai king's birthday. Because of that, we also celebrate Father's Day today.

The celebration is big. To me it felt a bit like the 4th of July. Tons of people gathered in a large park with picnic food and waited for the fireworks. There was also traditional Thai acting, songs, and dancing.

After walking through the park and enjoying the atmosphere, we found a place to sit. Once the sky was completely dark, the king's song was played. We all stood up and lit the candles we were holding. A beautiful firework display concluded the evening.

It's great to see the country united in celebrating the king and the work he has done to help Thailand.
