West coast invasion?
Nardini's is a west coast of Scotland institution - Italian immigrants who started a very successful and much loved ice cream business in the seaside town of Largs. I remember going there as a kid and enjoying their ice cream.
Now they have opened in Edinburgh - their first branch in the east of Scotland. What makes it more interesting is that they have opened 5 minutes walk from Luca's cafe - also an Italian immigrant family who make fabulous ice cream. Luca's make the best strawberry ice cream I have tasted (including in Italy).
When it's ice cream weather, we are looking forward to comparing them.
