My lovely day off today! This month's competition at the camera club has an Autumn theme and so far I've not managed to get the kind of pictures I'd need to enter it. So this morning I drove to Blean Wood - just outside Canterbury - to look for some seasonal colour. I've managed to get a few shots I'm pleased with, and they are on Flickr if you'd like to have a look. For my monochrome journal here, I came up with this interpretation of the theme - it's a slightly different process than I normally use, based on a suggestion from my friend Schubert to convert to black & white in Lightroom and then use the vast array of filters in Color Efex Pro 4 to tweak the image as needed.
