Family Meeting
Today we went to visit the Chrees, ie our daughter Lindsay, Gordon and Jody.
It appeared to be a hive of activity. The garage had been gutted and much Spring cleaning going on. We were impressed. Jody was having his lunch and looking very bonnie, with flaxen hair and dark brown eyes. He insisted that Granny should eat some of his courgettes. They were home grown and delicious.
I took him for a walk in his bycicle, if you see what I mean. It began to get cold suddenly, from it being a beautiful day and his hands were cold. The park that we went to was excellent for him as the swings and slides were buried in sand and comfortable chips. He had a go on a few of the machines and got involved with another boy in a baking stall, where you could make a cake out of sand and pretend it was chocolate and strawberries. We also did some digging with a proper digger. He was soon persuaded to put his gloves on and we went to feed the ducks. On the way home I found some cones and he seemed to like them so we took some back to clutter the place up again after it had been tidied. I think I took a nice shot of him in the playpark and also a lovely one of him and his mum later. But the blip of today is this one of him with his mum and dad showing them the rules in this new book, roughly called "Give your kids what they want" and then I'll gie you peace........
We went for a drive to see some possibilities.
Now I have to go as I am missing the concert of the Stones in London. It looks pretty amazing. All these kids are a third of our age and they seem to be relishing it just like we are. We may be getting on but we can still relish like the best of them
