Looking For Cinderella

While walking to a trail, I saw this fancy looking earring hanging from the branch of a tree. Obviously Cinderella has been trekking through this neck of the woods. I wonder if she wore her glass slippers too or did good sense prevail and she wore hiking boots? Stylish ones of course.

I'm glad I didn't run into her as I would have felt like the ugly step-sister in my worn jeans and beat up running shoes.

I continued to a fork in the trail where I saw two signs, one said "Country Inn" and underneath in brackets, "the long way." The other one said, "Pinnacle." The second sounded promising so I followed that one up a steep hill. For someone in better shape I'm sure it would have been a breeze. I'm not ashamed to say that I had to stop part way up (ok, I stopped twice) as I could actually feel my heart pounding in my ears. I was really hoping the view would be worth it.

Once I got to the top I looked around, the view was...well only ok but the rest of the trail was very nice and I'm glad I survived made the effort.

So now I'm totally beat and need to hit the hay. If you see Cinderella, please tell her to contact the CottageQueen for her earring. Good night!!
