Autumn landscape

I am NOT a happy chappy, I went for a walk through the local woods to the area of chalk grassland that i featured in my first blip only to find it had been stripped of all vegetation including brambles and small shrubs and a few trees it looks as if it is being prepared for ploughing . We have lived here since 1975 and the small area of grassland has never been touched in all that time and probably a long time before that as it borders a chalk quarry . It is or was home to a large amount of insects including blue butterflies and a wide assortment of wildflowers that included orchids. I can't see how it is going to be manageable with today's modern machinery as it is such a small area. First blip Now

That spoilt for me what is a lovely warm autumn day.
