"Let's Talk" launch

Earlier this year, we received funding for gender programming that we are putting towards a new program called "Let's Talk," an outreach to our university students to create an open space for discussion on issues of relationships, gender, and sexuality. We've been planning our launch of this program for several months and today was the day!

Students from 4 different universities in Kampala gathered for a talk show, led by a woman named Rose who has her own show on television. We had a panel to discuss the question: "What do you expect in a relationship/from a partner?"

The event started off on a low note, as the sounds system was awful, the power went out, and a heavy rainstorm affected an entire side of the room. Things soon cleared up, however, and we got back on track to have a very successful evening! I really think the students enjoyed the program, as there was a lot of participation, debate, and many laughs!
