Sage

It's the time of year that my sage plant takes over the herb garden and I can't think of anything that smells better. My neighbor's husband informed me that some Native American plains tribes would burn sage as a purifying ritual. I can understand why.

Our summer has disappeared overnight and autumn is here with rain, wind, and chilliness.
