Mother Karelia monument

Monument for missed war heroes of Karelia. This monument is surrounded by a 70 meter long granite wall. Engraved in the wall are the names of the soldiers buried in the present Russia, in South and Central Karelia, and also the names of MIA’s and blessed soldiers. There are 5500 names in the wall.

Behind the wall there's The Heroes Cemetary. It's the second largest in Finland, with 2068 soldiers killed in the Winter War and Continuation War buried in the soil of the graveyard.
