sad...

Came upon this dead Weasel on the Deeside Way this afternoon. There was no indication why it died and we could only suppose it may have run out in front of a cyclist. Very unlucky as they are so fast.

Identifiable by being so much smaller than its cousin the Stoat, and lacks the black tip on the tail. I've seen a lot more Stoats than Weasels and have never found a dead one.

Very sad really. He looked quite healthy - apart from being dead. :(
