Afternoon sun lighting up the brown waters of one of the burns at the mouth of Glen Kin in Cowal. Two of us, both silent for a good 15 minutes' walking, both reached the one thought more or less simultaneously: "It's still summer!" The earlier wind and grey clouds had obviously had us both thinking gloomily of autumn, but we're not there yet ...
