Help Me

Unsure what I was thinking when I agreed to go with FW to the beach today, the heat wave should have been an early warning for me that the beach was going to be jammed packed. It's what us Scots do best, heat wave strip off to the waist, head to water and let our kids run riot.

No sooner had we arrived and I was counting the minutes, I knew once I helped FW & Bob unload the kayaks they would be away and I'd be left on the beach. 2 hours I sat on the beach watching FW, Bob and her friend playing in the sea unable to take my camera out the bag. Everywhere I turned their was young kids playing and got a couple of strange looks taking this image.

When Bob dumped her kayak I was left watching it as young kids were eager to have a shot. I seen a kid no older than 6 jump into someone's dingy and head out to sea. If it wasn't for the guy noticing and grabbing the line I hate to think where the kid would have ended up. The abuse he gave the guy when he was told to get out the dingy was unbelievable.

It wasn't all bad as I got to people watch and a teenage with Down Syndrome sat beside me asking about the kayak and telling me all about his life and dreams. I was immediately reminded of the weeks outward bound course I done assisting a group of Down Syndrome teenagers. One of the best things I've done in my life and memories that will stay with me forever. Shortly after he left a wee lass, 18 months, came and joined me. She wasn't for budging as he mum tried to drag her away. In the end mum, grandma and the other siblings ended up setting up base next to me.

Not all bad but I hate the beach, sand gets everywhere!!!

On a completely separate note - Happy Birthday Pyro
