Recycling rant.....

Saturday 8th June.

Dull day with a coldish north easterly wind.
Cleared out the spinach bed today, and cooked lots of the green stuff- with chard it's one of my favourite vegetables. Husband mowed the lawns. This is my brown bin one day after it was recycled.... I have to wait 2 weeks for it to be emptied again. I have two composters, but they attracted lots of rats from a sewer ventilation pipe- so I don't use them anymore. Mark is coming later to trim the hedges and bushes, so containers will have to be filled and taken to the 'dump' tomorrow. We do not yet have kerbside plastic recycling, although it is due to be implemented this summer. All this however is not going to work unless ALL the recycling is collected weekly, and the rest of the rubbish fortnightly.
Chicken 'made up recipe' casserole tonight.
