Impressions

The picture isn't very clear and is quite grainy on account of the lack of light. However it does impress upon the viewer many things- the pre-dominant blue hue of the evening, a sense of serenity perhaps or even the pleasant coolness of the night. Isn't that what an impressionist work of art is all about?
