Sleeping Beauty

I was a little early for Choir practice, so took a quick stroll over to the lake in front of South Hill Park Arts Centre where we rehearse. A tiny island near the bank has been taken over by as a nest by a pair of swans, and while one, presumably the male, was swimming around enjoying the evening sun, his partner had pride of place on top of the nest.
