The sun came out, and so did all of Birmingham - or so it seemed. People were having picnics in their T-shirts, playing crazy golf, eating ice-creams. The fact that it was still only around 8C passed most of us by; the sun hasn't been here for a long, long time and it was wonderful to see it.
