Lil Hatties
I woke this morning feeling as though I'd be drinking last night or how I remember hangovers feeling.
Button also stayed over last night as he'd volunteered his services in assisting me to pick up a kayak for Bob this morning. Whilst driving through to Dunblane I commented that I could really feel the wind grab and push the car. However, it was nothing like how it felt coming home with the kayak strapped to the roof, erecting a sail on top of the car may have been safer or less of a hassle.
There was one part of the journey we heard a crunch which coincided with us hitting a pothole. The noise and the fact a female motorist passing us was staring at the roof of the car did slightly unnerve us. Deciding to be safe rather than sorry I pulled in at the next lay by just to make sure the kayak was still attached. Fortunately, the kayak was still there but the front hull-a-port had been forced along the roof rack taking a massive gouge out of it. Instead of being flush with the side of the car the kayak was now sitting diagonally across it.
This afternoon Sifu & his family came to the house to collect the pictures I took last weekend. His daughters are brilliant, full of energy and really independent. Just as well he's done all that training as he's going or he'd be in trouble fighting all the potential suitors away. The whole afternoon was really relaxed and there was no awkward silence, we talked about the last 10 years as the kids played away quite the thing.
