The Water of Leith was very high; a few more cm of rain and it'd be up over this stretch of walkway near Roseburn. In a previous job I walked along this way to get to work as it was a lot quicker than following the roads. A good few days I had to turn back because this section was flooded. One night, after seeing a friend home I walked back to mine along the water of Leith in the dark and had to paddle through flooded sections of the path. Trainers were never the same...
