Sir Patrick Moore

I was very sad to hear that Patrick Moore passed away today. I thought it would be fitting to take advantage of the clear skies and spend some time observing Jupiter.

Jupiter was amazing, maybe it's because I haven't been out with the scope for a while but it really blew me away today. I still don't have any equipment for taking proper planetary photos (laptop, motor drive etc) but I did manage to take this using my iPhone held against the telescope lens.
