Future So Bright

We had Schmevel for a sleep over last night and both of them wanting to camp out in the living room and watch DVD's to the early hours. Judging by the screams of laughter we heard late into the night and the state of the two of them today they succeeded.

Grandpa Hobbit appeared today doing his best teen wolf impression, his grey flattop and full head of hair is hopefully for me. Anyway after breakfast the girls woke from their zombie state and asked if they could have a water balloon fight. Not an issue but knew that they eventually turn on me and my Dad so kept a few balloons back just in case. The girls took a bucket into the upstairs bathroom to hold the filled balloons in but no sooner had we heard the first balloon being filled I hear the bathroom window open. Immediate I stood up and launched a balloon towards the open window. It caught the edge of the window perfectly covering Schmevel "How did you know ?" came the response

That set the tone for the next 100 odd water balloons as they reigned water down on us refusing to come away from the shelter of their turret. I was able to catch a few and even managed a near enough direct hit again on Schmevel as she lifted her head out the window - she was soaked. Feeling brave and nearing the end of their supply they did venture out and managed to hit both Grandpa Hobbit and I. Bob hit Grandpa Hobbit a beauty, square in the face soaking him completely.

I keep on referring back to this but it's great to eventually be able to make memories with my Dad. In such a short period of time he really has built up a strong and great bond not only with me but with Bob also. She's a lucky girl to have two Grand Dad's in her life who care unconditionally for her.

Seeing Grandpa Hobbits hair today I attempted to mirror his style and thought we'd have a wee father & son picture. Not only is the facial similarities there but we are very similar in nature and people would say the same sick sense of humour, I'd be inclined to agree.
