Magical Forest

We arrived at Tyn y Ceunant yesterday, the cottage in the woods in deepest darkest North Wales. It's the most beautiful and idyllic setting; down a single track road for about 3 miles then through a 5-bar gate up a slate track and at the edge of the enchanted forest is the cottage! It sits high off the track and next to a fast flowing stream which tumbles down the steep hill. The forest comes right down to the back of the cottage and we took a walk up the track into the trees - I just loved all the lichens and ferns, they grew everywhere even on the branches of this dead tree. So quiet here - only noise is from nature... no cars, no people, just wind in the trees and the water rushing over the stones... bliss :-)
