I'll admit I wasn't overly keen on the 8am start to this morning's ride but, as is usually the case when I rise early for something other than work, I was very glad I'd made the effort. It was a lovely calm, sunny Sunday morning and we covered 34 miles around Bennachie. (I say around, but at points it felt very much like we were going over.)

An early start meant an early finish and more time for eating food before the sleepy drive home. The wasps were out in force too, including two wood wasps and the pair of stripy ones in the picture.
