The sun came out for ten minutes today. I went out to get a shot of the waxeyes because sunshine is needed to show up their colours. There were more than twenty of them about the fat. No sooner had I got the settings to my satisfaction when a big truck roared past. The waxeyes all flew away. I waited patiently for them to return. Not all of them came back. These ones got stuck in, even though I was standing only two metres away. The lookout at top with fat on his beak barely looked at me.
