Lanterns

A difficult choice today, because I took some nice pictures of the ongoing Sand Castle Festival and I wanted to make a series. But I also went to the sunset Lantern Festival at Forest Hills Cemetery. Following a Japanese tradition, and aided by some expert calligraphers, people create lanterns carrying messages to their ancestors and set them afloat on the lake in the middle of the cemetery.
