inside my little world

Ceriog Gorge

Following the Ceiriog river, first though woods and fields, then up onto moorland with good views of the Ceiriog Gorge and its waterfalls, returning on the Upper Ceiriog Way. 9 miles. Moderate

The walk started off slightly damp, but enough to get the camera out for this shot of Sarah (a willing model). The rest of the walk was rain, rain, rain.. the streams were flooded, the footpaths were flooded, the bridleways were flooded... you get the picture. My feet were damp from the start, and were flooded out a couple of miles later; I need to waterproof. Only one person had dry feet by the end - new boots! After a day of jumping over streams, and slashing through puddles, we ended up in a very nice, posh hotel for tea. The open fire was fabulous, and dried us off nicely.
