Bloom & Bud

I'm all peopled out today (due to the Family Photography seminar of yesterday) - so back to the latest Phalaenopsis Orchid blooms.

The new blooms are purply-pink-red with yellowish splashes and a very pronounced white 'helmet'. It's almost luminous!

I think the inside of this bloom looks scary and uninviting..............but I'm sure bees would disagree!
