Bepton Woods (Sunnier Larger)

Being the numpty dumpty that I am, I had to drive back to Midhurst today to collect my purse, which I'd left behind at the bed and breakfast.

Before going anywhere, however, I had to walk back to The Bell to pick up the car as I'd left it there yesterday after having an ale filled lunchtime session.  Darren needed to stay at home as we were due to have the gas/electric meter inspected - on pain of death apparently as it has to be legally checked every two years!

So, I was up at 7am and much to Nibbler's bemusement, so was she.  After  gobbling up our respective breakfasts, we walked the 3 mile walk back to the pub in glorious, beauteous, sunshiny weather.  It was almost summery and I had to peel off a layer or two.  Nibbler loved it as she got to chase trains - one of her all time favourite pastimes!

Once the purse was back in my possession, I decided to go up to Bepton Woods to give Nibbler another walk. Luckily the sunshine had stalked us all the way to West Sussex and created a beautiful, golden filter through the slender trunks of the towering fir trees.

We stopped at a pub called The Country Inn and encountered a chap we'd met a couple of nights ago at one of the pubs in the town.  He had his black lab Milly with him and Nibbler was most put out by the affection I showed her.  In fact, it turned out to be quite a doggy pub as dog after dog (and their owners) turned up for a Friday lunchtime grub stop.

We're now home and well and truly settled in for the night...bath has been had and jim jams are on.  Nibbler is dognapping and obviously dreaming as her little legs are running and her whiskers and ladybeard are twitching :-)

Darren and I have decided that we're definitely moving to Devon - even if the job at Devonport doesn't come up for a while.  We've decided that it's where we've wanted to live for ages and that we need to make it happen and make our dreams come true.   So once we're back from our holiday in New Zealand we're going to put our house on the market - hoorah!  Tavistock and Dartmoor here we come!  I love, love, love Dartmoor :-)

My sunshine doesn't come from the skies,
It comes from the love in my dog's eyes.
