Raffles Hotel

This morning I met them at the hotel with the intention of going to the battle box. Then it turned out was closed for refurbishment till September. So instead we went for a walk around the park, had a gander at the old cemetery and the archeological dig site.

I had to head to class and they went to the old Ford factory. Later I met up with them at Raffles and we had a delicious prawn dinner at Boat Quay.. overlooking the water. From there we walked to the famous hotel and its long bar. M&D had Singapore slings whilst I tried a tropical sling. The jazz in the background, peanut shells on the floor.. it was the stereotype and the stereotype was great. Then I took them out the grand entrance so they could get an idea of the scale of the place before walking back to the MRT and heading our separate ways.
