Large red ear Turtle

At college park, found him swimming in the murky pond.  Since the rains of a couple a weeks ago the  pond is filled sediment, making it hard to spot these critters and with the muddy water their coloring it easy to pass them up.  I thought turtles hibernated during the winter at lease these turtles have been spotted and are not sleeping. Very fun to local them in the park however, I have not seen the medium size one for a few weeks now.  He might be hibernating!
