Christmas Day!
Thursday 25th December.
Christmas Day.
A beautiful sunny chilly day.
Husband was out early to go and shake hands at a Hospital Unit in Milton Keynes. I walked Ben along the Icknield Way.
Claire, Dan and I went to see my Mum, Nanou, where we chatted opened presents and even saw my sister, before returning home to bacon butties (mine with mustard, chillies and avocado….best sandwich in the world). We also opened presents! I received a day in March, photographing Wolves at a secret location in Bedfordshire, through Going Digital, as well as half a day flying hawks with Husband, at the English school of Falconry which is nearby. I bought Husband a flying lesson at Henlow flying school. The kids got perfume/aftershave, bags and money. I felt bad that I hadn’t done any stockings this year. My father sent me a cheque, but his grandchildren received nothing (wtf).
Husband did all the cooking which for once meant I wasn’t exhausted and frazzled. Roast Beef and all the trimmings- an excellent rib joint. We played Monopoly (Dan won), and watched a dire film called ‘Arthur Christmas’.
Nathan (Claire’s friend) spent most of the afternoon and evening with us- that was nice, he always comes at Xmas!
It was a good day, tinged with uncertainty. I was in bed not too late and watched rubbish on my Mac.
This is Ben amongst the torn up Christmas paper- we throw it onto the carpet and he loves tearing it all up!!!
I hope all your Christmas wishes came true, and you had a wonderful day!
