Another beautiful Spring day, ho hum....
No, I'm not bored of the lovely weather but you might be if you're only reading about it and not living it. And so it goes. Take solace in the fact that wherever you are, your weather will be better than ours in the long run.
Today A and Dada took the train to North Berwick. For those not in the know, it's a gorgeous little seaside town about 45 minutes east of here. I was quite jealous but was really happy that they were doing something fun and a bit different together. A's favorite part of the day was apparently the chocolate ice cream they had. They also walked a lot, walked in the sand and along a golf course and dipped their feet in the water.
No fear, M and I had a good day too. We didn't meet up with our yoga pals today. Instead, a picnic in the Links, a coffee in the sunshine at the little local French place, a chat with C -- a yoga pal we bumped into -- and then the Botanics with my good friend J and her gorgeous little man H. J and I met (along with five other girls) in our prenatal classes with our first children, nearly three years ago. One of the girls moved to London a year ago but the five of us still meet up most Fridays, and four of us have had second children (H in July, my A in November, S in January and E just a few weeks ago). The girls are great -- in the beginning there were many times I don't know what I would've done without them, and it's lovely to think that our kids will (hopefully) grow up together. A and H were really cute together today. It's funny too that right now their four month age gap seems huge (H is twice as old as M!), but in a year or so it will be nothing.
We've had far too many nice days in a row -- I'm fully anticipating snow tomorrow.
