No Control
For the last fortnight I've crossed the Forth Bridge on the bus watching the sun rise behind the rail bridge thinking that would make a beautiful shot but never had time to stop and get the picture until today. I set the alarm for silly o'clock (5am) threw on some clothes and headed out. As I driving across the Forth Road Bridge I thought perfect the Rail Bridge is well lit and most importantly there was no ships or wee tugs spoiling the back ground.
Parking up the visitors centre I headed back down, on foot, along the walk way to set up my camera all the time wondering how long I'd have to wait until Sunrise, the sky was perfect. However, as I got nearer the point I planned to take the pictures I noticed that one of the corners of the Rail Bridge appeared to be hazy. Realising what was happening I quickly set up my tripod and got out my camera. I kid you not but in the time it took me to attach the mount to my camera and get it fixed in the tripod the Rail Bridge had vanished, fog had engulfed it completely. Watching the fog roll up the Forth was beautiful and spooky at the same time. Unfortunately, due to the poor visibility the camera struggled to focus and I didn't even get a consolation shot of the fog swallowing the Forth Road Bridge - gutted.
Unfortunately as well, every attempt to go back to sleep today has been interrupted either by the Ballerina Hippo that appears to live in our house or someone at the door.
FW is away to see An Appointment with the Wicker Man tonight with a group of friends so it's just me and Bob. I'm going to try and convince her to have an early night but it's looking highlight unlikely.
The picture tonight is either one of the following;
A) Bob roaring at me not to take her picture or
B) Bob getting her knees squeezed as I try to make her look at me or
C) both
